The Lakeside Survival Course takes place at the Sta Clara dam, the biggest fresh- water reservoir in southern Portugal and is a real fun class. Course contents are salvage and rescue on the water (taught by an ex lifeguard from the coastwatch) the construction of a raft and two different survival canoes, several types of primitive fishing hooks and their application. Further we learn how to weave a fishing casher/ gil net, build a hawaian sling and different types of fishing spears. For everybody who likes water, this is definitely a scoop.
